NAURYZ – A HOLIDAY OF BLESSING AND PROSPERITY!

At Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, within the Faculty of Education and Humanities, students of the 3rd year of the educational program 6B01303 “Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education” of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education organized an educational event titled “Nauryzym berekem, Nauryzym merekem!”. The event was conducted under the supervision of Senior Lecturer Zh. Shalabayeva. The main purpose of the educational event was to widely promote the significance of Nauryz – the Great Day of the Nation, to popularize the rich traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, to expand students’ knowledge about the Nauryz holiday, and to foster respect for national values.

During the event, the national traditions of the Kazakh people and rituals related to the Nauryz celebration were presented, along with festive performances. In addition, one of the traditional Kazakh ceremonies – the Tusaukeser ritual (a symbolic cutting of the child’s leg ties when taking first steps) – was demonstrated, during which the child’s leg ties were ceremonially cut. This performance made a strong impression on the audience.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Social and Cultural Activities and Psychological Support E. Abdukarimova, the Deputy Dean for Science and Educational Work, PhD, Senior Lecturer B. Alipbay, and the Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences A. Rysbekova, who highly appreciated the students’ creative initiative.

The event featured a meaningful program aimed at promoting national values, strengthening the spiritual education of young people, and honoring the traditions of the Kazakh people.
