Educational Lecture within the Internal Academic Mobility Program: “Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Competence”

At Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, within the framework of the internal academic mobility program, the lecturers of the Department of Pedagogy O. Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Zh. Kuatova, PhD, Senior Lecturer Akmaral Ortaeva, and PhD, Senior Lecturer Elmira Akhmetova – conducted a lecture for students.

The lecture was held at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology for Group GPP-311 on “Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Competence.” The lecturers thoroughly explained the concept and content of emotional intelligence, emphasizing that it is the ability to understand one’s own emotions and manage them effectively. The importance of recognizing and understanding others’ emotions and establishing proper interpersonal relationships was also highlighted as a key component of emotional intelligence.

During the event, the role of emotional competence in personal and professional life was discussed. Students were provided guidance on regulating emotions, building positive relationships, and maintaining self-control under stress. Special attention was given to the importance of emotional intelligence in pedagogical activities. In addition to theoretical information, practical examples were shared, and students exchanged experiences and discussed the topic.

The lecture aimed to develop students’ emotional culture and strengthen their professional competence.
