History and General Information

«The history of the Department of Pedagogical Sciences begins in 1996. This year, the Department of Social and Political Disciplines was created, headed by Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor O. Nuskabaev. In the 1998 academic year, it was divided into the department of “History of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology”, the department was headed by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor A. Abuov.

In 2002, the department of “Pedagogy” was allocated, headed by candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior teacher K. Ybraimzhanov.

On October 28, 2004, by the decision of the session No. 1 of the University Senate, the "General Pedagogy and Psychology" department was divided into the "General Psychology" and "General Pedagogy and Ethnopedagogy" departments. Docent B. Ortaev appointed head of the "General pedagogy and ethnopedagogy" department. From 2005 academic year, the department was headed by Associate Professor Kulakhmetov B., then from 2006-2007 the department was headed by an outstanding teacher-scientist of the country, professor L.K. Kerimov, then from 2011-2012 the department was headed by " General pedagogy and ethnopedagogy" was appointed Rysbekova A.A. In the 2014-2015 academic year, the department was headed by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Torybaeva Z.Z. In 2017, the departments "General pedagogy and ethnopedagogy" and "General psychology" were united and reorganized into the department "Pedagogical sciences". In the 2015-2016 academic year, the head of the "Pedagogical Sciences" department is PhD, Associate Professor M.A. Appointed A.K.Rysbekova. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the name of the department was changed to the department "Pedagogy and Psychology".
