The Department of Fine Arts was founded in 2004. The department trains specialists in educational programs for 3 bachelors.

The Department of Fine Arts was established in 2004. The department trains specialists in four undergraduate educational programs:

The department employs 17 faculty members, including:

  • 4 PhD holders, Senior Lecturers
  • 2 recipients of the “Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan” award
  • 8 Senior Lecturers
  • 2 Master’s degree holders (Lecturers)

In addition, the department staff includes:

  • 1 laboratory assistant
  • 2 training masters
  • 1 engineer
  • 1 workshop manager

The scientific qualification level of the department’s teaching staff is 40%.

Members of the Union of Designers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor E.B. Auelbekov, PhD holders E.K. Rysymbetov, G.G. Masadykova, A.M. Erdenova, G. Koshenova, and honored cultural workers of Kazakhstan E. Mambetayev, M. Aidarsha, along with Senior Lecturers A. Sadibek, M. Shakhanbayev, A. Nakbayeva, G. Abdullayeva, K. Kasymbekova, M. Seysembekova, D. Yesenaliyeva, M. Mateyeva, and Master's-level lecturers S. Yergeshova, N. Auelbekov are actively and purposefully engaged in educational and creative work.

Classes for specialized disciplines are conducted in studios for painting, drawing, art history, artistic creativity, design, as well as in sewing, woodworking, and other specialized workshops, all of which are fully equipped and decorated in accordance with modern standards. The department regularly holds creative exhibitions featuring faculty and student work. Students actively participate in research projects and scientific conferences.

Educational Program: Design

This program prepares qualified professionals capable of developing research-based products, transforming design into models that meet scientific and aesthetic criteria, and mastering skills in fashion design. During their studies, students learn to create harmonious and aesthetically expressive spaces, apply new methods, forms, and tools of artistic design, and utilize innovative technologies to develop new models, mock-ups, and design items in the field of fashion.

Educational Programs: Art Labor and Graphic Design & IT-Art Education

Graduates of these programs are trained for teaching roles in general education schools, covering subjects such as “Art Labor,” “Fine Arts,” “Drafting,” “Graphics and Design,” “Labor Training,” “Household Culture,” “Culinary Arts,” “Material Processing,” and more. They are also qualified to work in vocational art education institutions.
Bachelor graduates may continue their studies in the M007 Master’s Program – “Fine Arts and Drafting”, which enables them to work in higher education institutions and pedagogical colleges in academic, pedagogical, and creative roles.

Educational Program: Decorative and Applied Arts

Graduates of this program build their professional careers in the field of art by creating unique works of decorative art, incorporating folk traditions, domestic and international experience, and modern achievements. With theoretical and practical knowledge of the field and mastery of relevant technologies, they become competitive professionals, capable of producing decorative art pieces and successfully fulfilling creative assignments.
