History and General Information

It was founded in 1992 as the Department of Clinical Disciplines, later renamed the Department of Therapy. Since the 2013-2014 academic year, by the decision of the Senate, it was renamed the Department of Propaedeutics and Internal Medicine, which corresponds to the name of the disciplines being conducted. In the 2024-2025 academic year, due to structural changes at the Faculty of Medicine, the department was renamed from the Department of Propaedeutics and Internal Diseases to the Department of Internal Diseases. The head of the department is PhD, Associate professor Alimbekova Laila Tasovna.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Department of Internal Medicine employs 2 doctors of Sciences, 7 candidates of Sciences, 2 professors, 1 PhD, 5 senior teachers, 2 master teachers. The total number of teaching staff according to the approved staff is 27, laboratory assistants-2.
