“The Importance of Interdisciplinary Research in Conducting a Scientific Project: The Case of the Kultobe Settlement”
On February 25, 2026, a seminar entitled “The Importance of Interdisciplinary Research in Conducting a Scientific Project: The Case of the Kultobe Settlement” was held at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. The event was organized by PhD, Associate Professor B.S. Sizdikov of the Department of History, Faculty of Education and Humanities.
The seminar aimed to present to doctoral and master’s students the results of interdisciplinary studies conducted alongside archaeological research at the Kultobe settlement, located in the lower reaches of the Keles River.
During the seminar, it was explained that interdisciplinary research involves integrating the methods, theories, and concepts of several academic disciplines to address a common research problem. It was also emphasized that the methodology of a single discipline is insufficient for carrying out a scientific project at a high level, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary research.
Faculty members of the Department of History, as well as doctoral and master’s students, participated in the seminar.
