“The Laws of the Kazakh Horde.”
On December 4–5, 2025, at the international symposium “Philosophy of the Great Steppe and Issues of Legal Culture”, organized by Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkestan, I delivered an official presentation on “The Laws of the Kazakh Horde.”
During the presentation, I outlined the historical formation of the legal system of the Kazakh Horde, the role of biys in developing legal culture, and the significance of traditional legal norms in state governance. It was emphasized that steppe law, based on justice, wisdom, and principles of social harmony, constitutes one of the key spiritual pillars of today’s national legal system.
This international academic forum provided a productive platform for exchanging views, reinterpreting historical and legal heritage, and connecting it with the contemporary legal framework.
