History

Since the opening of the university in 1991, the majors of the Faculty of Economics and Management have been training specialists and contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of the country. Over the years, the faculty has become an important center for preparing qualified economists, managers, financiers, and experts in international relations. The first dean of the faculty was A.M. Rizakhodzhaev. In the following years, the faculty was led by experienced administrators who played a major role in its development: A.U. Ischanov, M.N. Rasulov, B.S. Myrzaliev, S.S. Ydyrys, Mehmet Toplu, Eftal Sukru Batmaz, Yuksel Celik, Bulent Bayram, A.A. Kuralbayev, G.R. Mombekova,
D.N. Kelesbayev and Ж.М.Акимов.
Initially, the faculty consisted of only one department — Economic Theory and International Economic Relations. Today, the faculty provides education through three departments: Economics, Finance and Accounting; Management and Tourism; International Relations.
