“Longing for Ramadan” was organized by the students of the Faculty of Theology.
On March 5, a spiritual and educational evening titled “Longing for Ramadan” was organized by the students of the Faculty of Theology.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, filling the hall with a special spiritual atmosphere.
The ceremony was officially opened by the university’s Vice-Rector Yedil Meirbekuly Tolegenov, who spoke about the spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan. In his speech, he emphasized that Ramadan is a time that nurtures patience, kindness, and moral values. He also wished the students success in their academic journey.
The floor was then given to the Dean of the Faculty of Theology Sultanmurat Uteshuly Abzhalov, who highlighted the spiritual and educational importance of the month of Ramadan and encouraged students to strive for excellence in knowledge and achieve great success in their academic paths.
During the evening, students showcased their talents on stage. The program began with the performance of the hikmets of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, which deeply moved the audience and created a meaningful spiritual atmosphere. Afterwards, talented young performers presented traditional Kazakh kui music, enriching the cultural spirit of the event.
An intellectual quiz competition was also organized for the participants. Based on the results, the winners and prize holders were awarded special gifts. The awards were presented by Bauyrzhan Saifunov, Director of the Yasawi Studies Research Institute.
In addition, a meaningful theatrical performance with a strong moral message was presented, leaving a profound impression on the audience. The evening concluded with the touching song titled “Longing for Ramadan”.
In his closing remarks, Professor Avzhy Zhasym shared insightful reflections on the responsibilities of Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan and the importance of knowledge for students pursuing the path of learning. He also wished peace for the country and prosperity and success for the younger generation.
The spiritual evening left a lasting impression on the participants and provided an opportunity to deeply feel the value and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan.
