Dean's Message

The Faculty of Higher and Postgraduate Medical Education at Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University (Yasawi University) is committed to advancing the quality of medical education, integrating scientific research with clinical practice, and training highly qualified healthcare professionals and leaders.

The Faculty’s key priorities include advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Public Health and the Healthcare System,” implementing the Future Resident School and Clinical Mentor School initiatives, and strengthening managerial competencies through MBA, EMBA, and DBA programmes.

The Clinical Council and the Stakeholder Council play an important role in strengthening the University’s engagement with the healthcare sector. Their activities help align educational programmes with the needs of the industry, promote clinical mentorship, and facilitate the translation of scientific advances into clinical practice.

The Faculty is committed to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, enhancing the quality of education and research performance, strengthening international cooperation, and improving the University’s competitiveness in accordance with the evaluation criteria of the QS and Times Higher Education (THE) international rankings.

Our strategic goal is to educate competent healthcare professionals and develop effective healthcare leaders who can improve the quality of medical care and contribute to better population health across the region and Turkic-speaking countries. Achieving this goal requires effective leadership, teamwork, and strong partnerships between the University, healthcare organisations, professional communities, and government institutions.
