The Faculty of Medicine was opened in 1991 and accepted 100 students, today about 1,000 thousand students study at the faculty in bachelor's degree programs, 35 in master's and doctoral programs. Representatives of 41 nationalities from 17 countries are studying among them. They are trained by more than 100 teaching staff. The faculty consists of 5 departments: fundamental sciences, special clinical disciplines, Internal Medicine, Public Health and Scientific research, surgical diseases.
