History and general information:  The Department of General Academic English joined the Faculty of Medicine as the Department of “Language Disciplines”in 2006. In the 2007-2008 academic years, the department was divided into two parts and received the name “Foreign Languages”. In the 2008 academic year, due to changes at IKTU, the department of Foreign Languages was closed and replaced by the department of “Natural specialties of the English language”.Then the department was included in the Faculty of Philology. Currently, 20 teaching staff work at the department, including 1 candidate, 6 senior teachers, 14 teachers. Teachers of the department attend advanced training courses to improve their skills in each academic year. Student conferences and student competitions in practical English are organized.
