Yerzhan Seitenov, a 1995 graduate of the Faculty of law, was appointed deputy akim of Shymkent.

Yerzhan Seitenov was born on September 18, 1974 in Zhanakorgan District of Kyzylorda region.

He graduated from the Faculty of law of Akhmet Yassawi University in 1995. This year marks the 30th anniversary of our first graduates.

Yerzhan started his career in 1990 as a worker at the Zhanakorgan plant of reinforced concrete products in 2000-2002 at the Faculty of law of our university, where he worked as a teacher, deputy dean.

2008-2011-deputy head of the KSE on PCV" Almaty apartment service".

In 2011-2012 – vice-president of Zhibek Zholy-Kazakhstan LLP.

In 2015-2016-advisor to the chairman of the management board of JSC NC SEC Almaty.

2016-2019-head of the Department for control over land use and protection of Almaty.

From February 2019 to February 2020, he headed the Department of green economy of Almaty, and then the Department of housing policy of the southern capital.

From May 2021 to May 2023, he held the position of Akim of Almaly District of Almaty.

Since October 2023, he has held the position of head of the Office of the mayor of Shymkent.
