Our graduate received the Grand Prix of the International Festival" Shabyt".

From November 18 to 22, 2025, the Department of culture of Astana and the Kazakh National University named after Kulyash Baiseitova held the XXVIII international competition of Creative Youth "SHABYT" in order to identify creative achievements in the field of art and support talented performers.

Rector of L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Galym Akhmedyarov made a welcoming speech and wished the participants good luck.

This festival is one of the largest cultural events in Kazakhstan and an international platform for bringing together talented young people.

"Shabyt" is a prestigious project that annually brings together talented young people from all over the world, glorifies creativity, improves professional skills.

The main goal of the festival is to support creative youth and talents aged 18 to 35 years, increase their professional level, promote national and world cultural heritage, as well as strengthen creative cooperation.

The composition of the approved jury in the nomination "literature" (poetry) for evaluating and summing up the results of the contest participants was approved as follows:

1. Kasymkhan Begmanov, poet, deputy chairman of the Board of the Union of writers of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan-Chairman of the jury;

2. Galym Zhailybay, poet, laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan-member of the jury;

3. Bauyrzhan Babazhanovich, poet, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, editor - in-chief of the international political week" Turkestan " - member of the jury;

4. Zhanat Askerbekovna, poet, doctor of philology-member of the jury;

5. Kalkaman sarin, poet, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan-member of the jury;

In the nomination" literature " (poetry), the total number of works (manuscripts) of 63 young poets was received.

As a result of careful reading, analysis and three-time examination of all works, eleven prize-winners were determined out of thirty selected poets.

On November 22, at the final meeting of the Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyov, Chairman of the jury Kassymkhan Begmanov, members Bauyrzhan Babazhanovich, Zhanat Askerbekovna and poet Serikzat Duysengazy solemnly presented their prizes to the winners and special prize-winners of the International Festival "SHABYT" in the nomination "literature" (poetry).

And in the evening, at the closing ceremony of the XXVIII International Festival of Creative Youth "SHABYT", held at the Kazakh National University named after Kulyash Baiseitova, the winner of the main prize, poet Dauren Tleukhan, was awarded.

The prize fund of the main prize is 3,000,000 tenge.

Dauren TLEUKHAN was born on October 28, 2000 in the village of blanket, Aiteke bi district, Aktobe region. Bachelor's degree in 2022, master's degree in 2024, Faculty of Philology of Akhmet Yassawi University.

Winner of the International Literary Competition" Altyn Kalam "in the category" best poetry of the year".
