Laboratory of Plant Physiology, Phytopathology, and Biotechnology
Purpose:
Comprehensive study of plant physiological processes, disease development mechanisms (phytopathology), and biotechnological methods aimed at increasing plant productivity, developing disease-resistant varieties, and introducing innovative solutions in agriculture and biomedicine.
Objectives:
- Investigation of plant growth, development, and physiological status at molecular, cellular, and biochemical levels;
- Study of the biology and distribution patterns of plant pathogens (fungi, bacteria, viruses);
- Research on mechanisms of plant resistance to abiotic and biotic stress factors;
- Development of in vitro cultivation methods for plant cells and tissues, including microclonal propagation;
- Production of high-yield and disease-resistant plant forms using genetic and biotechnological methods;
- Study and production of biologically active compounds (phytohormones, secondary metabolites);
- Development of biotechnological products and technologies for agricultural production;
- Establishment of a scientific basis for environmentally safe and sustainable agrotechnologies;
- Implementation of research projects and training of personnel.
