The Medical Faculty of our university, which trains doctors, was opened as part of the University in 1991 and for the first time accepted 54 students. The dean of the first faculty was appointed doctor of medical sciences, professor Bekmuratov E. B., and in subsequent years the faculty was headed by Doctor of medical sciences, professor zh.N:Shalkharova, candidate of Medical Sciences, B. K. Zhunisov, candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor M. S. Zhunusov.From 2018 to September 2024, the faculty was headed by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I. S. Moldaliev. Since the 2024-2025 academic year, the faculty is headed by candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor G. O. Nuskabaeva.. During these years, the faculty has many qualified specialists in their field. - the first head of the Department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M. M. Akhmetov, the first head of the Department of therapy, candidate of Medical Sciences, Professor B. S. Kalmurzina, the first head of the Department of Pediatrics, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor K. A. Askanbayeva, specialist in hygiene and epidemiology, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor B. K. Kerimbekov, therapist, doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S. Sh.shalkharov, neurologist, Professor H. B. bralov, Pharmacologist, Professor O. M. Myrzagaliyev, Professor M. R. rysuly, ophthalmologist, professor A. T. Sagalov, traumatologist, Professor A. B. bolgaev, pathologist-anatom professor zh.B. Akhmetov, histologist, candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor S. A. Azhaev, biochemistry specialist, doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor R. D. Dilbarkhanova, surgeon, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I. A. Tashev. Today, about 2000 thousand students, undergraduates, doctoral students study at the faculty in educational programs of all levels. Of these, representatives of 41 nationalities study from 17 countries. They are trained by about 150 teaching staff. To date, about 6000 thousand highly qualified specialists have graduated from the faculty. Currently, the faculty consists of 9 departments: Human morphology and physiology, Obstetrics and gynecology, special clinical disciplines, general surgery, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Propaedeutics and intrauterine diseases, preventive medicine, surgical diseases.

To date, two grant research projects are being implemented under the guidance of scientists of the faculty. The project on the theme "Improving the personality, life and genetic aspects of compliance of patients with metabolic syndrome in the 10th year of prospective study" under the guidance of candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor G. O. Nuskabayeva, with a budget of 91225000 tenge and a project on the topic "disclosure" under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, K. K. Karimbayev spectrum and percentage of metabolites, characteristic for urea, with the purpose of Diagnosis " Project with a cost of 96178760 tenge.

Over the past 5 years, 70 articles have been published in journals indexed by scientists of the faculty, 286 articles have been published in other publications, and 156 articles have been published in conferences. Over the past 5 years, students of the faculty have won 35 prizes at international subject Olympiads.
