Achievements

In the 2021-2022 academic year, senior lecturer of the Department of Mathematics, PhD Meirkhan Borikhanov became the owner of the international scholarship "Bolashak" and completed an internship at the Belgian University Ghent from 04/01/2021 to 03/31/2022. In the 2023-2024 academic year, senior lecturer of the Department of Mathematics, PhD Turganbayeva Zhannur became the owner of the international scholarship "Bolashak" and from 11/20/2023 to 11/20/2024. He is doing an internship at George Washington University in the category of "scientists".

In the 2022-2023 academic year, Associate Professor M. D. Koshanova at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service exchanged experiences within the framework of a cooperation program with universities in neighboring countries. 

The scientific potential of the faculty of the department is very high. Over the past 5 years, teachers of the Department of Mathematics have published: 3 monographs, 5 educational and methodological manuals, 80 scientific articles and abstracts, including 61 scientific articles with an impact factor (based on Thomson Reuters - 22, Scopus - 39). The teachers of the department cooperate with scientists from far and near abroad, conduct joint research with professors A. S. Erdogan, S. Kerbal, S. Umarov (USA), A. Kabada (Spain), M. Kirane (France).

In the 2019-2020 academic year, the teacher of the Mathematics Department, I. M. Omarova, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation and received an academic PhD degree.   Doctoral students of the Department of Mathematics who studied in the 2017-2020 academic year according to the educational program 6D010900 - Mathematics Turganbayeva Zhannur (07/01/2022) and Yerkisheva Zhazira (12/22/2022), Sapakov Dinmukhambet (12/23/2022) successfully defended their dissertations at the dissertation council of the Doctor of Philosophy in the field of training 8D015 and continue their work at the department.

The teaching staff of the department B. Sarsenov, I. Omarova took online courses at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, presented in Coursera.

On September 20-23, 2023, the VII World Congress of Mathematicians of the Turkic World (TWMS Congress-2023) was held at the Department of Mathematics at the Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. A. Yasavi (MKTU, Turkestan) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the initiative of the Turkic World Mathematical Society (TWMS).

Students of the educational program 6B05449-Mathematics in the republican competition of scientific research works of students in 2021, the first place was taken by Mamatzhanov Shukurzhan (head: Professor B. Turmetov), the second place was taken by Sapiev Bekzat and Maripov Tokhir (head: Professor M. Sultanov), awarded diplomas of the Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
