Achievements

Thematic directions of scientific research work of the department: Religions, spiritual heritage, Islamic and Hanafi schools of thought in Central Asia. The teachers of the department participated in the state program "Cultural Heritage", made translations and researches, and the results of these are included in the educational process today. At the same time, research was conducted jointly with scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkey within the framework of the topics of the Islamic religion in Kazakhstan. The department has completed scientific and research work in 3 scientific directions of OPK. They are: 1) "Religious and spiritual processes in Central Asia and its influence on the historical fate of the Turkish peoples (XV-XIX centuries)" 2) "Formation of religious consciousness against extremism and radicalism in society and personality", 3) "Maturidism in Central Asia: doctrine, followers and works". The project "Hnafi tradition in Central Asia and the foundations of Kazakh spirituality" won the 1st grant of the Ministry of Education, research is being carried out within this topic, and articles and monographs are being published. In addition, students and undergraduates studying in the specialty of religious studies defend their diploma theses and master's theses and publish articles within the framework of the above thematic areas of research work. Religious studies students and graduate students annually participate in the research work among Republican students and are awarded with 1st and 2nd degree diplomas by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
