Training highly qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the modern labor market and employers who are able to ensure religious stability in Kazakhstan society and the implementation of religious education.
The concept of the educational program is based on the principle of preparation of highly qualified competitive specialists aimed at solving the scientific and practical tasks of the state program "Spiritual modernization" in order to accelerate the spiritual modernization of the Republic of Kazakhstan and increase the religious literacy of the population through the use of religious resources.

The concept of the Educational Program «6B02228 – Religious Studies» has been developed in accordance with the priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan aimed at social modernization, preservation of national identity, strengthening the principles of secularism, and enhancing citizens’ worldview orientation and religious literacy. The program is focused on training highly qualified, socially responsible, and competitive specialists capable of scientifically analyzing religious processes in contemporary society, contributing professionally to the prevention of religious extremism and radicalism, and ensuring interfaith harmony and social stability;

For applicants to study under the educational program of religious studies, the applicant must have a state-issued document on general secondary (full) education or secondary special professional education and a conclusion that he has scored a threshold score by passing the unified national test and successfully passing creative exams. Applicants from abroad are accepted through an interview if they study on a paid basis. Mandatory job functions of a Bachelor of Religious Studies:

1. Scientific study of religions;

2. Conducting a comprehensive analysis and study of religious processes in society;

3. Conducting an analysis of the activities of religious associations, cults, movements and trends operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Additional job function 1:

Regulation of interfaith, interreligious, intercultural, interethnic relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
