“LAW AND ORDER – THE FOUNDATION OF A SAFE SOCIETY”

The Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Faculty of Education and Humanities at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University held an educational event entitled “Law and Order – the Foundation of a Safe Society.” The event aimed to enhance students’ legal literacy, broaden their knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, and foster a culture of respect for the law.

The educational session was organized by the group curator, Zh.K. Duissenova, who provided students with a comprehensive explanation of the importance of law and order in society, citizens’ rights and responsibilities, legal culture, and civic responsibility.

The event was attended by B. Auezov, PhD, Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Deputy Deans of the Faculty, and faculty members of the Department. The participants exchanged views with students on legal literacy, public order, and civic responsibility. Particular attention was paid to the importance of young people knowing and respecting the law, developing legal awareness, and recognizing their responsibility to society.

During the educational session, participants discussed the role of the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in society, the maintenance of public order, the prevention of offences, and citizens’ rights and responsibilities. Practical examples were also provided on observing legal requirements and ethical standards at the university, in public places, on public transport, and on social media. It was explained that appropriate legal liability may arise depending on the nature of an offence.

During the discussion, students examined various situations encountered in everyday life and shared their views. It was emphasized that compliance with the law is the responsibility of every citizen, while public order is an essential principle that ensures people’s safety, protects their rights, and promotes mutual respect.

The event was conducted in the form of discussions, questions and answers, and analysis of real-life situations, with students actively participating throughout the session. The educational event contributed to enhancing young people’s legal literacy, strengthening respect for the law, fostering civic responsibility, and developing a conscious attitude towards public order.

Respect for the law is a sign of responsibility, while maintaining order is the foundation of a safe and stable society.
