International Exchange of Experience: Cooperation and New Opportunities in Higher Education
From 7 to 11 September 2026, an international event dedicated to the exchange of experience in higher education took place in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye. Participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Northern Cyprus, and Hungary gathered to discuss current issues and developments in education. The week-long programme covered a wide range of topics, including higher education policy, quality assurance and accreditation, digital transformation, and the internationalisation of higher education. Through academic sessions, practical activities, and institutional visits, participants shared their experiences and explored best practices and contemporary approaches in the field of education.
Aliya Kuralbayeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty of Education and Humanities Research, Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, participated in the international event and shared her professional experience.
During the event, representatives of the participating countries exchanged views on improving higher education systems, enhancing the quality of education, and strengthening international cooperation. The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to broaden their professional perspectives, acquire new knowledge, learn from international colleagues, and establish mutually beneficial professional connections.
Furthermore, the professional networks established during the international meeting are expected to provide a foundation for joint research projects, the development of academic and student mobility, the implementation of experience-sharing programmes, and the strengthening of long-term cooperation between universities.
International exchange of experience is an important means of improving educational quality, supporting professional development, and integrating into the global education landscape. Initiatives of this kind contribute to expanding the academic partnerships of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, enhancing the professional capacity of academic staff, and creating new opportunities in education.
