Achievements of the Department

The Department of Preschool and Primary Education consistently works to improve the quality of education, enhance educational programmes, develop research activities, expand academic mobility, and strengthen the professional preparation of future teachers. The department's accumulated academic experience and the professional achievements of its academic staff contribute to the development of its educational and research activities.

     2013–2019. Research Achievements and the Introduction of Dual Education

Between 2013 and 2019, three students supervised by A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, received first- and third-degree diplomas from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the results of scientific and theoretical conferences for university students.

Since 2017, the department has implemented educational programmes incorporating elements of dual education. This initiative has been aimed at integrating theoretical knowledge with practical teaching experience and developing the professional competencies of future teachers.

To implement elements of dual education, cooperation agreements were concluded with M. Abenova Secondary School, Secondary School No. 23, and Aliya Nursery-Kindergarten in Turkestan. These partnerships have contributed to improving students' teaching practice and facilitating their adaptation to professional environments.

In 2018, the electronic textbook entitled “General Pedagogy”, developed by A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, was registered as a copyright-protected work. Copyright Registration Certificate No. 962 was issued.

In the same year, A. Rysbekova received the “Ulagat” honorary badge in recognition of her professional contributions to education.

2020–2024. Development of Academic Mobility and Professional Achievements

The participation of academic staff in academic mobility programmes has been an important part of the department's efforts to expand international and national academic cooperation.

From September 28 to October 28, 2020, B. N. Auezov, PhD and Senior Lecturer, completed an academic internship at I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University in the Kyrgyz Republic. The internship focused on international academic exchange and professional development.

In 2022, A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, received a Letter of Appreciation from the Mayor of Turkestan.

In the same year, three students from I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University, supervised by G. T. Abdullina, PhD and Senior Lecturer, achieved third place in a national subject Olympiad.

In 2024, G. T. Tokkulova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, was awarded a medal for her contributions to the development of the city of Turkestan.

Also in 2024, three students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, under the supervision of A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, achieved third place in a national subject Olympiad.

From November 4 to December 6, 2024, G. T. Abdullina, PhD and Senior Lecturer, participated in academic mobility activities at I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu State University, where she was assigned to deliver lectures.

The achievements of this period reflect the contribution of the department's academic staff to educational research, academic knowledge exchange, and the development of students' academic potential.

2025. Accreditation of Educational Programmes and Expansion of International Cooperation

In 2025, two master's degree programmes offered by the department successfully completed accreditation:

• 7M01202 – “Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Upbringing”;
• 7M01303 – “Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education”.

This achievement represents an important outcome of the department's efforts to ensure educational quality and assess compliance with academic standards.

International academic mobility activities continued throughout 2025.

From April 1 to April 14, 2025, A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, was assigned to deliver lectures at the International Islamic Academy in Uzbekistan.

For October 13–27, 2025, academic mobility activities involving A. Rysbekova were reported at Nizami University and Samarkand State Medical University in Uzbekistan, including the delivery of lectures.

These academic engagements were aimed at facilitating international knowledge exchange, strengthening lecturers' professional competencies, and expanding academic cooperation between higher education institutions.

In 2025, members of the department's academic staff received several distinctions. In particular, G. T. Tokkulova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, was awarded the “Birlik” Public Gold Medal of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the commemorative medal marking the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

In addition, A. Rysbekova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor, received a Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in recognition of her significant contributions to the development of education and science, professional achievements, and dedicated service.

The department's achievements across different periods encompass the following key areas:

1. Quality Assurance in Education: Successful accreditation of master's degree programmes and continuous improvement of educational content.
2. Practice-Oriented Education: Integration of dual education elements since 2017 and development of partnerships with educational institutions.
3. Academic Mobility: Participation of academic staff in academic exchange programmes at universities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
4. Research and Intellectual Contributions: Copyright registration, academic supervision, and students' achievements in scientific competitions.
5. Professional Recognition: Awards, medals, honorary distinctions, and letters of appreciation presented to academic staff by government bodies and public organisations.

Building on its accumulated academic and pedagogical experience, the department continues to enhance educational quality, develop international academic cooperation, strengthen professional teacher preparation, and support the research potential of its students.
