History and General Information

The Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology was opened in 2013 at the educational and clinical base of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in Shymkent.

Since September 1, 2013, the head of the department has been appointed MD, Associate Professor G.A.Utepbergenova, who is currently working.

The following medical training programs are being implemented at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Phthisiology: internship in the specialty “5B130100-General Medicine”, 7R01123- “Infectious Diseases of Adults, Children”, 7R01122- “Dermatovenereology for Adults, Children”, residency in the educational program.
Practical classes are conducted using interactive teaching methods: discussion of theoretical data with the teacher, clinical analysis of patients, group discussion, trainings.
