History and General Information

In 2009, the Department of Surgery and Anesthesiology-Intensive Care was established at the educational and clinical base of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in Shymkent. From the 2009-2010 academic year to the 2020-2021 academic year, Professor Satkhanbayev Askar Zaidullayevich held the position of head of the department.

Since the 2020-2021 academic year, the head of the department is PhD, Professor Kukanova Ulzhan Dabibekovna. The department provides educational programs for internship "5B130100-General Medicine" and residency:
