 The IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Key Trends in Uroandrology” Was Held

From 17 to 20 September 2026, the Department of Specialized Surgical Disciplines of the Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education, in cooperation with the Public Association “Urologists of Southern Kazakhstan,” held the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Key Trends in Uroandrology.”

The conference aimed to discuss recent scientific advances in urology and andrology, promote the introduction of innovative diagnostic and treatment methods into clinical practice, and strengthen professional cooperation between national and international specialists.

On 17 September, a practical masterclass was held at the Department of Urology of the Regional Clinical Hospital. Participants were introduced to modern surgical techniques in the following areas:

- laparoscopic reconstructive and plastic surgery;
- laser enucleation of the prostate;
- mini-percutaneous nephrolithotripsy.

During the masterclass, the specialists discussed the principal stages of surgical procedures, specific features of operative techniques, patient-selection criteria, and postoperative management.

The main scientific programme of the conference took place on 18–19 September at the Alma-Tau resort. The programme featured presentations on current issues in uroandrology and discussions of complex clinical cases. Particular attention was given to modern diagnostic and treatment methods for urological diseases, minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery, reconstructive urology, and the preservation of men’s health.

The conference brought together healthcare professionals, academic staff, early-career researchers, and first- to third-year residents in Urology. The event provided residents with an opportunity to enhance their professional knowledge, become familiar with advanced surgical technologies, and learn from the practical experience of leading specialists.

The IV International Scientific and Practical Conference served as an effective professional platform for discussing current issues in urology and andrology and contributed to the further development of scientific and practical cooperation between specialists and healthcare institutions.
