Achieving a high quality of postgraduate medical education by establishing mandatory requirements for the level of training of residents enrolled in the «Family Medicine» specialty; Educating future specialists who respect the Constitution of the country, as well as the traditions and values of Turkic-speaking peoples, and who uphold national and spiritual values; Establishing a system for monitoring the effectiveness of educational and scientific organizations that provide residency training in the «Family Medicine» specialty, and regulating the educational process.
University graduates applying for residency are required to take a comprehensive examination for groups of educational programs, consisting of a foreign language test, a professional test in the relevant group of educational programs, and a test to determine their readiness for study. Applicants entering residency programs taught in English take a comprehensive examination in English for groups of educational programs and a test, at their choice, to determine their readiness to study in Kazakh or Russian. Admission to residency is carried out on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations for individuals who have completed higher education programs. Admission of foreign citizens to residency is carried out on a fee-paying basis.
