ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT

• According to the educational program 7R01104 – “Neurology of adults, pediatric” they have passed specialized accreditation for a period of 5 years. The validity period of the certificate: 28.05.2022-27.05.2027 y. Registration number: SA-A №0244/5.
• According to the educational program 7R01113 – “Рsychiatry of adults, children” they have passed specialized accreditation for a period of 5 years. The validity period of the certificate: 06.05.2023-05.05.2028  y. Registration number: SA-A №0272/5.
• The department is the organizer of scientific and practical conferences, seminars, round tables and training schools for practitioners of the Turkestan region, not only at the regional level, but also at the international level. The department participates in the testing of new, modern medicines, the results of which are published in scientific publications. Associate professors of the department participate in solving the issues of diagnosis of complex pathology and medical and social expertise of neurological patients in the region.
• On March 17-18, 2022, in Turkestan, the department organized a scientific and practical conference with International participation on the topic "Neurology. Discussion of urgent problems”.

Scientific projects:

The Department of Neurology, Psychiatry, and Narcology is actively conducting research work. Teaching staff and associate professors of the department are scientific supervisors of bachelors, interns, resident doctors, within the framework of the scientific circle. And also. undergraduates, doctoral students. The department has defended many master's and doctoral theses. The department has a student scientific circle. Teaching staff, together with students, conduct scientific research, the results of which are published in scientific journals and reported at annual scientific and theoretical conferences of young scientists and take prizes. According to the results of the scientific research work of the faculty, scientific articles are published in domestic and foreign scientific journals. The staff of the department constantly, continuously improves its level of professionalism in pedagogy and neurology, systematically undergoing professional development cycles not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad (in the CIS countries, Latvia, Austria, France, Germany and Spain).

Awards, letters of thanks:

• In 2010, the head of the department Abassova Gauhar Begalievna was awarded the medal "For the Development of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• On June 03, 2021, the head of the department Abassova Gauhar Begalievna was awarded the badge "Excellent Health Worker" of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

1st year residents studying under the educational program 7R01104 - "Adult, children's neurology" in the section "Clinical therapy" of the XXXII scientific and theoretical conference of students of the Faculty of Postgraduate Medical Education, Shymkent campus of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasavi 2023-2024 academic year were awarded a diploma of II degree Sunnatov B. B., III degree Ravshanov B.M.
