History and General Information

As part of the educational and clinical base of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in Shymkent, the department of “dental disciplines” was opened on September 1, 2009. The head of the department was appointed Ph.D. And. O. Iskendirov, in the 2013-2014 academic year headed by Ph.D. Torgautov B.K., 2015-2018 Ph.D., Associate Professor L.O. Kenbaeva, 2018-2021 R. G. Davydov, 2021-2023 K. G. Gazizov, from 2023 N.K. was appointed acting head of the department. Tasbulatov. 

The following medical training programs are being implemented at the Department of Preventive Medicine and Dentistry: Educational internship program “5B130200-Dentistry”. 
Lectures are conducted using interactive teaching methods: discussion of theoretical data with the teacher, clinical analysis of patients, group discussion, heuristic conversation, training, learning elements with pre-planned problems are used.
