History and General Information

Department of Energy and Natural Sciences was established on the basis of the Department of Natural Sciences of Turkestan Institute of Humanities and Business Sciences by the decision of the Senate of Hoca Ahmed Yesevi International Kazakh-Turkish University dated 01 September 2008. With the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering on September 1, 2014, the name of our department was changed to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 18 faculty members, including 3 doctors of science, 2 doctoral candidates, 3 with a doctorate (PhD) degree, 2 senior lecturers, and 6 with a master's degree, will be employed in Electrical Engineering. The Head of the Department is Associate Professor Abdikulova Zagipa Kyrgyzbayevna.

In our department, undergraduate education is provided in the "6B07153 - Electrical Energy", "6B07189 - Mechanical engineering"  and "6B07154— Automation and Control" programs, and master's degree education is provided in the "7M07130-Electrical Energy" and "7M07158-Automation and Control" programs.

The implementation of the educational program is determined by the mission of the university, which is to form a scientific and educational environment that provides training for highly qualified personnel based on the principles of close integration of science, education and innovation.
