THE SPORTS FACULTY'S CURRENT ACHIEVEMENTS AND FUTURE STRATEGIC PLANS

The mission of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University is to educate highly qualified, innovative and competitive individuals who will take leading positions in the Turkic world, drawing upon the teachings of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi and adhering to academic principles. Guided by this mission, the Faculty of Sports systematically works to train competitive professionals by integrating education, science and sport.

The current activities, achievements and future strategic plans of the Faculty of Sports were presented on the "Zhana Tolqyn" programme of the "Turkistan" TV channel.

During the programme, information was shared about the admission results for the 2026–2027 academic year, the growing number of applicants admitted through state-funded educational grants, as well as students' academic and sporting achievements.

The programme also highlighted the achievements of colleagues who had enrolled in doctoral programmes and were continuing their academic and research activities.

In line with the University's Development Strategy, the Faculty shared its plans to improve the quality of education, align academic programmes with labour market requirements, increase graduate employment rates and enhance their professional competitiveness.

The discussion also covered the University's support for students involved in high-performance sports and the opportunities provided to help them successfully combine their academic studies with professional sporting careers.

One of the Faculty's key priorities is the integration of science and education. In this regard, particular attention was given to the development of sports science, the systematic organisation of research activities, engaging academic staff and students in scientific research, supporting young researchers and establishing new research directions.

Information was also provided on the Faculty's efforts to strengthen its social responsibility, systematically organise social and educational activities, and foster professional values among young people.
