Surgical Diseases

The Department of Surgical Diseases is an academic unit of the Faculty of Medicine at Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, integrating educational, scientific research, and clinical practice activities.

The Department was established in 1993. Throughout its history, it has continued to work towards improving medical education, strengthening scientific capacity, and developing the professional competencies of future medical specialists.

The Department's primary mission is to provide students with high-quality medical education, develop their clinical reasoning and practical skills, support their participation in scientific research, and incorporate modern medical knowledge into the educational process.

The Department's activities encompass three main areas:

• Education: Teaching surgical and clinical disciplines, improving educational and methodological approaches, and developing students' professional competencies.
• Research: Implementing scientific projects, publishing research articles, disseminating research findings, and promoting international scientific collaboration.
• Professional Development: Enhancing the qualifications of academic staff, facilitating the exchange of academic experience, and supporting students' scientific and social engagement.
