History and General Information

The Department of "surgical diseases" of the Faculty of Medicine of the international Kazakh-Turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi was first opened in 1993 on the basis of the "Kentau City Central Hospital" in Kentau, Turkestan region. The first head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M. M. Akhmetov, appointed in 1993 and headed until 1995.

From 1995 to 1997, the head of the department was candidate of medical sciences, professor of IKTU K. Karimbayev.

From 1997 to 2003, the head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor A. B. Bolaev.

In 2004, by the decision of the Senate No. 1 of the University, the Department of "surgical diseases" was divided into two parts, and the department was renamed "faculty surgery".

In 2003-2006, the head of the department was candidate of medical sciences, professor of IKTU K. Karimbayev.

In 2006-2008, the head of the department was candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) M. I. Omaraliyev.

From 2008 to 2015, the head of the department was Doctor of medical sciences, professor Sh.M.Seidinov.

From 2015 to 2017, the head of the department was candidate of Medical Sciences, senior lecturer M. E. Seisenbayeva.

In 2017-2019, the head of the department was candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) M. S. Zhunusov.

In 2019-2020, the head of the department was candidate of Medical Sciences, senior lecturer I. zh.Turmetov.

Since 2020, candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) Zhunusov Murat Saginalievich has been appointed as the head of the Department of" surgical diseases " and continues to work in full.

Since the creation of the department until this morning, 7 candidate dissertations, 2 doctoral dissertations, 6 master's theses have been defended.

At the same time, the teaching staff of the department, in accordance with the plan and unscheduled, improves their skills in foreign countries and republican institutions. In addition, as a result of his official work, he received awards at the international, national, regional and university levels with badges, letters of thanks.
