History and General Information

On October 28, 2004, based on the decision of the Academic Council of the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. A. Yasawi opened the department of “General Surgery” as part of the medical faculty, and Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Murat Saginalievich Zhunusov was elected head of the department.

In the 2011-2012 academic year, the head of the department was doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Elikbaev Galymzhan Mamyrbekovich.

In the 2013-2014 academic year, the department was renamed the department of “General Surgery, Instrumental Diagnostics and Pharmacology”, the head of the department was Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Murat Saginalievich Zhunusov.

Since the 2014-2015 academic year, the head of the department is Ph.D., acting Associate Professor Nurpeis Kudaibergenovich Tulezhanov.
