Achievements

The academic staff of the Department are actively engaged in research, obtain academic degrees and titles, publish monographs and educational materials, and participate in scientific projects.

2016

• Pursuant to Order No. 245 of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dated 16 March 2016, M.B. Zhunisova was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• In 2016, by decision of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.Zh. Sadykova was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

2021

• On 2 February 2021, G.O. Nuskabayeva was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. She is the author of more than 80 scientific articles and conference abstracts, including publications in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Six master’s students have completed their studies under her supervision. She has participated in two scientific projects as a senior researcher and is the author of five textbooks and more than eight teaching and methodological publications.

2023

• By decision of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zh.A. Yermakhanova was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• The monograph “Scientific Aspects of Diet Therapy in Metabolic Syndrome” by K.Zh. Sadykova, Head of the Department, PhD and Senior Lecturer, was recommended for publication by the Senate of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University on 31 March 2023 (Minutes No. 8) and subsequently published.
• Members of the Department participated as senior researchers in the grant-funded project “Study of the Genetic Profile of Patients with Drug-Resistant Epilepsy in the Turkistan Region.”

Scientific Project Implemented in 2023–2026

• Research project AP19676909, “A Study of Dietary Patterns, Lifestyle and Genetic Aspects of Adherence in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome in a 10-Year Prospective Study,” was implemented within the 2023–2025 grant-funding programme for scientific and scientific-technical projects of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• The research activities conducted within the project under the supervision of G.O. Nuskabayeva were fully completed in 2026, and the study findings were finalized and summarized. Dilbar Nurgaliyevna Aidarbekova was one of the three doctoral students who conducted research within the project. Based on the results of this research, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation.

New Achievements in 2026

• By decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pursuant to Order No. 495 dated 25 June 2026, G.O. Nuskabayeva was awarded the academic title of Professor in the scientific field 30100 – Medical Sciences.
• Dilbar Nurgaliyevna Aidarbekova, a doctoral student supervised by G.O. Nuskabayeva, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation. By decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, pursuant to Order No. 686 dated 22 September 2026, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the 8D10110 Medicine educational programme.

Thus, 2026 was marked by two significant academic achievements for G.O. Nuskabayeva: she was awarded the academic title of Professor, and her doctoral student, D.N. Aidarbekova, successfully defended her dissertation and received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). These achievements demonstrate the growing research capacity of the Department and the effectiveness of its academic supervision and researcher-training activities.
