SIMULATION CENTER

The Simulation Center of the Faculty of Medicine of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University is a modern educational and practical center designed to develop, improve, and assess the practical and clinical skills of students in the field of medicine.
The main purpose of the Center is to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills and develop students’ clinical thinking, professional competencies, teamwork, and decision-making abilities in emergency situations.
During simulation-based training, clinical situations are modeled using special mannequins, simulators, robot simulators, and medical equipment. This allows students to perform medical procedures several times in a safe environment, analyze their own mistakes, and improve their practical skills.
Main areas of activity of the Center
The Simulation Center carries out a wide range of educational activities that provide practical professional training for students in the medical field.
The Center provides:
- development of basic practical medical skills;
- initial assessment and physical examination of the patient;
- performance of medical procedures;
- acquisition of injection and catheterization skills;
- practice of blood collection and other clinical procedures;
- performance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- acquisition of basic and advanced life support algorithms;
- airway management;
- simulation of emergency medical situations;
- development of surgical practical skills;
- development of laparoscopic skills;
- simulation of obstetric and gynecological situations;
- development of pediatric and neonatal practical skills;
- improvement of nursing skills;
- development of auscultation and physical examination skills;
- development of clinical thinking and decision-making abilities;
- development of communication and teamwork skills.
- The Center has created the conditions for conducting the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) aimed at objectively assessing students’ practical skills.
Modern educational environment
The material and technical facilities of the Center are equipped with medical simulators, mannequins, trainers, and special educational equipment that make it possible to model various clinical situations.
These include simulation equipment in the fields of resuscitation, pediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics, nursing, auscultation, and surgery, as well as laparoscopic trainers.
The main principle of the Simulation Center is to train professional medical specialists through high-quality practical training in a safe environment.
The activities of the Simulation Center are supported by specialists working in the medical, educational-methodological, material-technical, and information-technical areas.
