Main Purpose of the Simulation Center
The main purpose of the Simulation Center is to provide medical students and healthcare professionals with the opportunity to acquire practical skills, develop clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities, and improve their professional competencies in a safe and modern simulation environment that closely resembles clinical conditions.
Main Objectives
to develop and improve the practical and clinical skills of medical students;
to integrate theoretical knowledge with practice through the simulation of clinical situations;
to develop skills in providing medical assistance in emergency and life-threatening situations;
to develop clinical reasoning, decision-making, and teamwork skills;
to provide opportunities for repeated, safe practice and assessment of professional skills through simulation technologies;
to ensure objective assessment of students’ practical competencies through OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination);
to create a learning environment that closely resembles a clinical setting using modern simulators, mannequins, phantoms, and medical equipment;
to introduce advanced national and international practices into the educational process.
Training Areas
At the Center, students’ practical skills are developed in the areas of therapy, surgery, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, neurology, general medical practice, emergency medical care, and life support.
Medical mannequins, models, phantoms, robotic simulators, trainers, and modern medical equipment are used during the training process.
Professional Development
The activities of the Simulation Center are not limited to the training of undergraduate students. One of the Center’s development areas is the use of simulation-based training opportunities within the system of professional development and continuing professional education for physicians and nurses.
In this area, it is planned to expand educational opportunities aimed at improving the practical skills of healthcare professionals, modeling clinical scenarios, and practicing emergency medical care and teamwork.
Expected Outcome
The main outcome of simulation-based training is the development of skills in a safe environment, repeated practice, analysis of errors, and confident preparation for clinical practice.
The ultimate goal of the Center is to contribute to the training of healthcare professionals who can integrate knowledge with practice, have well-developed clinical reasoning skills, demonstrate professional competence, and place patient safety first.
