History and General Information

The department of Turkish language teaches Turkish to students from related countries and communities who speak Turkish. 

The current Turkish language department was part of the Language Teaching Center during the years when the university was founded. In those years, the department was headed by Yerzhan Kuanyshbayev.

The department of Turkish language took part in the department of "Turkology" of the Faculty of Philology in the 2006-2007 academic year; in the 2007-2010 academic year, it took part in the service courses of the department of "Turkic Languages" of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Medicine.  During these years, the department was  Directed by Dr. E. S.Adilbekova.
Dr., who was the head of the Turkish department in the 2010-2013 academic years. A. Bayiniyazov has undertaken it.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, the Turkish department of the preparatory language teaching center was moved to the city of Kentau as of September 15 and Ilyas Ordueri was appointed head of the department.

In the 2015-2016 academic year, the Preparatory language teaching center was transformed into the ”Preparatory Faculty".

Assoc. Dr. Halil Adıyaman has been appointed both as the head of the department and as the dean.

In the 2016-2017 academic year, Ahmet Kımmaz from Turkey was the Head of the Department.

B in the 2017-2018 academic year. Umur Atikol has been appointed as the head of the department.  

Kenan Semiz was appointed as the head of the department in the 2018-2019 academic year. 

B. to the Head of the Department in the 2019-2020 Academic year. Umur Atikol has been appointed. 

Recep Aral served as the Head of the Department in the 2020-2022 academic year. 

Mustafa Nerkiz has been working as the Head of the Turkish Language Department since June 2022.
