    Introduction

    The Department of Training and Certification of Scientific Personnel is a structural department affiliated with the Science Department of Khoja Ahmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. 

    The main goal of the department" training and certification of scientific personnel " is to maximize the use of the scientific and intellectual potential of the university, including the Coordination of research work of undergraduates and doctoral students, the organization and provision of methodological assistance in attracting young scientists, research scientists and foreign scientists.

    The department coordinates the research work of master's and doctoral students, taking full advantage of the scientific and intellectual potential of the university. It also organizes post-doctoral studies, associate professor-researchers and professor -researchers’ programs.

     

    Duties

    In the course of its activities, the Department of training and certification of scientific personnel provides for the following fundamental normative legal acts: the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2007 No. 319 "on education" (version with amendments and additions in a new version), the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 18, 2011 No. 407-IV "on Science "(version with amendments and additions in a new version), regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is guided by regulatory legal acts approved by the University.

    The Department of training and certification of scientific personnel is directly subordinate to the director of the Department of Science and vice-rector for Science and strategic development.

    The Department of training and certification of scientific personnel is headed by the head of the department and is responsible for the results of the relevant work of the Department.

    • participating in, organizing, and supervising scientific seminars regarding the thesis studies of master's and doctoral students;
    • monitoring the research activities of master's and doctoral students (related to their publications);
    • organizing scientific seminars for master's and doctoral students on scientific research topics together with the departments;
    • supervising the progress of the research and thesis studies of master's and doctoral students;
    • Supervising the completion levels of doctoral and master's students' thesis studies;
    • To control the research and thesis studies of master's and doctoral students in the Strike Plagiarism program in cooperation with the Scientific Research Unit;
    • To work on the approval of thesis topics and scientific advisors for master's and doctoral students;
    • Working on the approval of the road map for non-defending PhD students;
    • supervising studies conducted in accordance with the road map approved by non-defending doctoral students;
    • organizing the postdoctoral program;
    • Oversight of postdoctoral program admission rules;
    • accepting documents related to the postdoctoral program, supervising the timely delivery of reports, and submitting them to the Scientific Board and Senate;
    • organizing professor-researcher, associate professor-researcher, and visiting scholar programs;
    • Organization of work on the preparation of newly created dissertation councils for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), as well as documentation on changing the composition of dissertation councils;
    • Support the research work of undergraduates and doctoral students studying in Turkey with the funds of the plenipotentiary Council and scientists practicing abroad under the Bolashak program, their participation in scientific projects.
