Today, an innovative office called “AI Startup Hub” was opened at our university, aimed at developing projects based on digitalization and artificial intelligence.

The event took place within the framework of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s initiative to declare 2026 the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.

The AI Startup Hub innovation office is a center focused on developing digital and AI solutions, fostering an innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem, and supporting startups within the university. The office was funded and equipped by the University Board of Trustees.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Prosecutor of the Turkestan Region Murat Tleuberdiev, the Head of the Turkestan Region Police Department Arystangani Zapparov, the Head of the Department of Economic Investigations of the Turkestan Region Erbolat Balgaбаев, the Deputy Head of the Department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the Turkestan Region Ayan Akberdiev, the Head of the Education Department of the Turkestan Region Galymzhan Orynov, the Rector of the university Zhanar Temirbekova, Acting Representative of the Rector Naji Gench, as well as other responsible officials.

In the new office, a ceremony was also held to sign an interagency memorandum on the regional implementation of the AI-Jan project. The memorandum was signed by the heads of the above-mentioned government bodies and the educational institution, and the parties agreed to jointly implement the project in the region.

AI-Jan is a preventive digital platform designed for the early detection of bullying, psychological pressure, social isolation, risks of misconduct, and suicidal threats in educational institutions.
