About Us

The visa department of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi International Kazakh-Turkish University is the administrative structural part of the educational institution. After the internationalization of our university, it organizes work on visa support for foreign nationals who come to the university for service, study, visit. It registers passports of foreigners crossing the border of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the migration authorities in the field in accordance with the requirements of the current migration legislation of the country, extends educational visas, work visas. Problems arising in the performance of these tasks will be resolved through the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Migration Police Directorate of the Turkestan Region.

Our Services

To familiarize with the rules of travel in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

Foreign nationals arriving from visa relations countries (Turkey, PRC, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Hungary) are required to submit their passports to the Visa Department within 3 days after crossing the border with Kazakhstan. Passports of citizens of these countries are automatically registered and address notification is issued through the egov portal until the validity of the visa;

Foreign nationals from visa-free countries (Uzbekistan / Karakalpakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Russian Federation, Ukraine) for the new school year are required to submit their passports to the Visa department within 3 days after crossing the border with Kazakhstan, registration of citizens of this country is carried out through the Population Service Center in Turkestan, Kentau, Shymkent;

Extension of work visa for employees (family members) with extended contract for the new school year;

Extension of expired study visa for international students;

Reduction of the timing of exit visa registrations and registration of citizens of neighboring countries by graduating and departing students;

Updating the database according to the VISA database created for foreign nationals, making changes, monitoring the deadlines of visa registrations, passport deadlines according to the database, communicating with students;

Submission of semi-annual and annual reports to the city and provincial migration police departments during the school year;

Working closely with the University's education department and faculty deanships on a daily basis to resolve issues related to international students;

interaction with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and embassies on issues arising in the course of work.
