About us

The construction of the substation ” University-110/35/10 kV” began in 2000 with funds allocated by Turkey. The work was fully completed in 2010, the object was accepted on the basis of the relevant state act. To launch the substation in 2011, a special permit was received from the State Energy Control Committee in Shymkent, and in the same year, from the department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the regulation of natural monopolies in the South Kazakhstan region, the university was granted a state license No. 000376-16 dated March 25, 2011 for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy, as well as for the operation of electrical networks and substations. On the basis of these documents, on June 27, 2011, the substation was connected to a constant current source at the Kentau substation – 220 kV, which supplies electricity through the power line L-177 with a length of 24.5 km and a voltage of 110 kV.

In accordance with new technologies and at the request of the Ministry of Energy and the State Energy Control Committee, in 2014, the ASCEA system (Automated System for Commercial Electricity Accounting) was put into operation at half the station.

In accordance with the staff list, 15 employees work in the department.

A special contribution to the launch and stable operation of the substation “University – 110/35/10 kV” was made by the first head of the facility Alipbai Yerdenov.
