Education and Training

Dentist, in short, is the name given to people who fulfill the duty of protecting oral and dental health in people and restoring damaged healthy conditions within the general medical notion and ethical rules.

The mission of our faculty, as a result of dentistry education, is to train Dentists who can address oral and dental health within the context of human health and the body in general, in accordance with current approaches, solve problems, and have the infrastructure to adapt to new practices and technologies that will develop in the future.

Education at our faculty is completed in 5 years. Dentist candidates who complete this education spend the 6th year practicing in different clinics and at the end of this period, they earn the title of Dentist. Revision studies are continuing in the training program in order to complete the practical training in the faculty environment under the supervision of expert instructors in the 4th and 5th years of the 5-year education process and to harmonize it with other universities included in the Bologna process.

The course program for students accepted in the 2017-2018 academic year has been changed to ensure that this program complies with the Bologna process and the Faculty of Dentistry in the Republic of Turkey. Thus, it will be possible for our students to transfer horizontally and vertically between the countries that are members of this process.

In this academic year, 1st and 2nd grades are educated with a curriculum in accordance with the Bologna process.

Agreements have been made with many clinics in the city of Turkestan for the practical training of our other students.

In addition, our faculty has a dental clinic suitable for capacity increase, established so that students can perform and/or monitor practical applications on patients during their education at the faculty, and phantom and prosthesis technical laboratories established so that students can learn pre-clinical applications and practice on models and mock-ups.

In our faculty, education is given in Kazakh, Turkish, Russian and English and translations are made.
