Our History

On September 1, 2013, the Department of Dentistry was opened at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yassawi, based on the decision of the Scientific Council. On November 12, 2018, during the proceedings at the 53rd meeting of the Authorized Council, the decision adopted by the University Senate on August 29, 2016 at the 1st meeting was decided that from the beginning of the 2017-2018 academic year the Faculty of Dentistry will open at the university. On April 1, 2017, Professor Dr. Yuksel Turkoz was appointed dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. From the 2019-2020 academic year, Kerem Engin Akpinar was appointed dean of the faculty, and from September 2021, associate professor Hasan Gundogar became dean of the faculty.

Our faculty has 4 main departments:

• Department of Dentistry Operatıve and prosthodontıc dentıstry-perıodontology
• Department of surgical and children’s age Dentistry
• Department of Human Pathology
• Department of Laboratory Disciplines.
