History

The Faculty of Economics and Management and its departments have been training specialists since the first days of the university’s establishment in 1991, making a significant contribution to the development of the country’s economy and the field of international relations. The first dean of the Faculty of Economics was A. Rizakhodzhayev. In the following years, the faculty was headed by A. Ishanov, M. Rasulov, B. Myrzaliyev, S. Ydyris, M. Toplu, E. Batmaz, Y. Celik, B. Bayram, A. Kuralbayev, G. Mombekova, S. Baymaganbetov, D. Kelesbayev, and Zh. Akimov. Currently, the position of dean is held by Uzun Yilmaz Ulvi.
At the time of its establishment, the faculty had only one department — the Department of Economic Theory and International Economic Relations. Today, the faculty includes the Departments of Economics, Finance, Accounting and Audit, Management and Tourism, and International Relations.
