Our History

The Scientific Research Institute "Ecology" was established on September 1, 2001. In 2008, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued the institute a state license (01234r No. 0042385) to perform works related to the protection and use of natural resources.

The analytical laboratory "Environmental Control and Chemical Analysis" (EKiHA) was established in 2002 on the basis of the Scientific Research Institute "Ecology" at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A.Yasavi. In 2010, under the guidance of Professor, Director of the Institute Akbasova A.D., the laboratory was first accredited for technical competence in the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Kazakhstan for compliance with ISO 17025 requirements as a Testing Laboratory (IL) and received an Accreditation Certificate No. KZ.I.02.0640. 

The laboratory of the Research Institute "Ecology" conducts analytical control of the state of environmental components, including:

• atmospheric air  
• natural surface and underground (ground) waters  
• Waste water 
• drinking and mineral water  
• soils  
• Radiation level
• noise
• illumination

The laboratory also has a mobile group (mobile laboratory) to conduct industrial environmental monitoring, on-site sampling and field research.

The laboratory has a license for the right to carry out activities with precursors and poisons, has a certificate for products manufactured on an industrial scale (fertilizers, reclamation fertilizers, feed mixtures). He also has a permit to work with microorganisms of the III-IV pathogenicity groups.

In 2019, the Ecology Research Institute launched a production laboratory (workshop) and a greenhouse. On the basis of this production laboratory, building materials (paving stones, curbs, bricks from waste), organic fertilizers (vermicai), meliorant, vermi powder, feed mixtures, products obtained by processing industrial waste are produced.

The Scientific Research Institute "Ecology" presents the scientific foundations of the vermitechnological method of processing agricultural and other industrial waste using red California worms; methods for obtaining new biologically active organo-mineral preparations; methods for their restoration and neutralization of degraded soil fertility, use in the production of organomineral preparations; scientific research related to disinfection, processing and preparation is carried out in the field of animal husbandry feed mixtures.
