Our center aims to increase knowledge on sustainable development issues by organizing periodicals, research projects, seminars, and conferences. In addition, it seeks to contribute to the sector by sharing the activities carried out by SKBAM and the findings obtained with the academic circles.

• The Sustainable Development Research Center will primarily aim to raise awareness of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Encountered in the context of sustainability within the scope of the center By building an academic eco-system based on innovation, where political, economic, social, cultural, and ecological problems are identified, solution proposals are put forward, and knowledge production and management can be carried out; Academic, technical and educational activities will be carried out.
• To carry out interdisciplinary research to improve Kazakhstan's capacity to combat environmental problems of national and international importance, as well as to promote collaborative research links that reinforce the center's status in this regard.
• To support our university and our students in establishing constructive cooperation with partners outside academic circles (e.g., government, civil society, NGOs) to develop awareness-raising projects in all layers of society about sustainable development and to increase this awareness.
• To contribute to our university's education of extroverted, flexible, multi-disciplinary graduates with analytical depth, lifelong skills, and ready-to-work. Our center aims to donate to our graduates' development of cross-cultural thinking skills for collaboration and professional integrity.
• To conduct studies on the sustainable use of water resources and their evaluation in agricultural development, especially in Southern Kazakhstan, where our university is located, and to develop development projects supported by international organizations.
• To conduct studies on long-term habitat planning and ecological protection and introduce advanced practices and policies for protecting biological diversity and natural assets.
• We are developing partnerships with other institutions within and outside the country to develop research collaborations on issues of national and international importance.
• We are conducting research and preparing reports to contribute to making university education modern and adaptable.
• We are carrying out projects supporting publications and academic research activities at our university regarding Sustainable Development goals.
• We are involving non-academic stakeholders in developing projects and creating and implementing research to promote the development of practical solutions implemented in society.
• To integrate non-academic stakeholders into our processes to ensure that our university better understands our society and makes practical contributions to a better community.
• To contribute to important national and international initiatives that support policy processes and raise sustainability standards globally through scientific research.
