Climate Change Policy
Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh Turkish University
Purpose of the policy
The University considers environmental responsibility and sustainable development an important part of its activities. This policy aims to reduce factors that contribute to climate change, use natural resources responsibly, and strengthen the University's resilience to climate-related risks.
Climate change can cause water scarcity, biodiversity loss, deforestation, and deterioration of air quality. The University therefore integrates practical environmental measures into education, research, campus management, and cooperation.
Policy areas
Energy efficiency and green energy
Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
Waste management and recycling
Responsible use of water resources
Climate change adaptation
Public and international cooperation
Energy efficiency and green energy
Energy efficiency means achieving the required result through the rational use of resources. Green energy is based on renewable energy sources with minimal environmental impact.
Legal and policy framework
