In the Institute’s research activities, the fields of Turkology, philology, history, and archaeology are studied in close interrelation. The language and literature of Turkic peoples, their folklore, religion, worldview, historical memory, and cultural heritage are scientifically analyzed, and work on introducing medieval Turkic written monuments into academic circulation is being continued. In addition, archaeological studies contribute to the investigation of the material culture of Turkic civilization, ancient urban culture, economic systems, religious and ritual concepts, and stages of historical development.
