The main purpose of  Akhmet Yasawi Research Centre is to conduct research on the works and edifying iconography of Akhmet Yasawi; to promote the personality of the outstanding scholar of the Turkic world; to analyse the history and foundations of culture and religious processes at that time, and to identify the place of Akhmet Yasawi in it. To reveal the continuity of Akhmet Yasawi's spiritual heritage and Turkish Islam through fundamental research and to explore his important issues in a new way and determine his contribution to culture; and to study popular works and present them to today's readers; textual analysis and linguistic analysis of versions written in Arabic script in the ancient Turkic language.
