History and General Information

The establishment of the Faculty of Dentistry was discussed by the University Senate on August 29, 2016, and was approved at the 53rd meeting of the Board of Trustees on November 12, 2016. As a result of the decisions taken at the 1st meeting, as of the 2017-2018 academic year, the Department of Therapeutic and Orthopedic Dentistry, Surgical and Pediatric Dentistry, Department of Laboratory Disciplines, and Human Pathology were opened at the university, along with the Faculty of Dentistry. The Head of the Department of Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry was appointed Candidate of Medical Sciences F.T. Temurov.

The Department of Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry provides training in the theoretical and clinical skills necessary to train future dental specialists. 

Currently, the department is headed by Kozhambekova Elmira Asanbaevna. Fifteen teachers work in 15.75 personnel units: 1 candidate of medical sciences, 1 associate professor, 1 doctoral, and 4 senior teachers.
