History and General Information

As a result of the decisions taken at the 53rd meeting of the Plenipotentiary Council on 12.11.2016 and the 1st meeting of the University Senate on 29.08.2016, the Faculty of Dentistry was opened at the University in 2017-2018 academic year, which included the Departments of therapeutic and orthopedic dentistry, surgical and pediatric dentistry , laboratory disciplines, human pathology.  Ph. D. Temurov F. T. was appointed head of the Department of surgical and pediatric dentistry.

        The Department of surgical and Pediatric Dentistry provides knowledge in theoretical and clinical disciplines necessary for the training of future dental specialists. At the department, students studying under the educational programs 6B10156-Dentistry are taught in specially equipped Phantom offices and clinical bases in the following disciplines: "oral hygiene", "Anesthesia of Dentistry", "Prevention of dental diseases", "Pediatric Dentistry 1", "Orthodontics and children's prostheses", "Pediatric Dentistry", "Oral Surgery", "radiological diagnostics in dentistry", "diseases of the mouth, teeth and jaw", "Anesthesia of Dentistry", "general oral health", "Clinical Orthodontics fundamentals of", "implantology" and "CJSC, facial surgery".

   Currently, the department is headed by PhD, Senior Lecturer Nurdinov Nursultan Seisenbayevich.

  For the implementation of educational programs and work in methodological, research, educational areas, the department employs 13 teachers-professors in 13,25 full-time units. Among them: 1 professor, 2 candidates of Medical Sciences, 3 senior teachers, 6 master's teachers and 1 teacher. According to the mandatory and selective components, teachers of the department develop educational and methodological complexes of disciplines, use modern technologies and innovative teaching methods, conduct classes.
